Frequently Asked Questions
0) I'm afraid of technology and to try new things, do you have a sample video?
That is totally understandable, this website is cutting edge. We have made it very easy to use. You can register an account here and download "Teaching Lateral Distance on a Leadout" on the house and experience Power Paws Live.
1) How do I play the videos on my computer?
The videos are in .mp4 format and will play in Apple iTunes, Adobe Media Player and VLC (Video Lan Client).
2) I have an Apple iPod, can I play my videos on it and take it to the training field?
Yes Power Paws Live videos are compatible with video iPod Nano, iPod Classic, iPod Touch, iPhone, and AppleTV. Just transfer them to iTunes movie folder and sync your iPod. This is a great way to take the videos to the training field.
3) I don't like watching videos on my computer, can I watch the videos on my television?
Absolutely, there is nothing like kicking back in your recliner with some popcorn to watch Power Paws Live. All you need is an Apple TV. Apple TV takes care of everything for you and makes watching Power Paws Live on your HDTV really easy. You can also burn your own DVD, see question 5.
4) Does Power Paws Live use DRM (Digital Rights Management) to copy-protect the videos from pirates?
No, the videos are not crippled with DRM. We in no way restrict the legal use of videos you have purchased. For example, making a back up copy, transcoding your video into another format, watching your videos on more than 3 computers.
5) These videos are so awesome. Aren't you worried that people will pirate your videos?
People who pirate videos are not our customers. Our customers are people like you and we want to give you the best user experience possible. We believe that is a video without DRM is best for our customers.
6) How do I burn a DVD?
We have written a "How to burn a DVD" just for you.
7) Do you sell the videos on DVD?
No we do not sell the videos on DVD. But we do let you burn your own custom DVD.
8) Can I make a backup copy of my videos?
Yes you can. Our videos are not crippled with DRM. In fact we recommend and encourage you to make a backup copy of all your videos and keep them in a safe place. Better safe than sorry.
9) I have a Microsoft Zune or Creative Zen Vision or some other portable media player, will the videos play on it?
Probably not. But there are plenty of free tools on the internet that will transcode the videos into another format that will play on your device. We support the right of our customers to watch the videos on a device of your choice. We recommend Apple iPods as a portable media player.
10) After I purchase a video how long do I have to download it?
You have two weeks to download a video you purchased.
11) How many times can I download a video I purchased?
You can download the video one time. But it is yours to keep forever and ever and watch over and over. (Currently the system doens't enforce this, but it does keep track of how many times a video has been downloaded and if I see any irregularties well I know where you live.....)
12) How do I know if the videos will play on my computer or that I can burn a DVD?
We have a sample video that are in the identical format as the videos for sale. You first try the sample video to confirm that your computer can play them.
13) Can I get a refund on a video I purchased?
There are no refunds. All sales are final. Really we are trying to keep this as simple as possible. We have the sample video that you can download to test out.
14) I bought some videos and payed through PayPal with an eCheck and my downloads aren't showing up in "My Account"
An eCheck is short for Electronic Check, it is just like a paper check and takes a few days to clear your bank. Your downloads will not be available until it clears. It is an automated process which I have no control over. To avoid this delay pay on site with a credit card or through PayPal with a credit card.
15) I'm trying to play one of the High Definition videos, I hear sound but the video is jerky or in slow motion. What is up with that?
This means you have an antique computer not capable of playing High Definition video. Until you get a more modern computer you will have to stick with the iPod versions of the videos. You can also try using VLC to play the videos it works much better on older computers than iTunes or QuickTime. I actually prefer VLC over QuickTime for all my video playing needs.
