How to burn a DVD

So you bought some of our awesome videos. You are really enjoying them on your iPod and watching them on your computer. But sometimes you get the urge to watch them on the big screen. You could get Apple TV, but for some reason you have the hankering for a good old fashion DVD.

This "How To" for Windows computers will show you how to burn your own DVD with the videos you download from Power Paws Live.

1) Download DVD Flick, it is attached to this webpage, see below.

2) Install DVD Flick by double clicking of the file called "dvdflick_setup_1.2.2.1.exe" that you just downloaded

3) After installing DVD Flick, run DVD Flick from the Windows Start menu

4) Click on the 'New Project' button, just to be safe.

5) Click on the 'Add Title..." button on the right, a window will open up like below.

6) Title is just a fancy word for video. This is where you select the videos you want to add to the DVD. Using the 'ctrl' and'shift' keys you can select multiple video, then click 'open' button.

7) Your DVD Flick window should look something like below:

8) Click 'Project Setting' button, a window will open up like below. Select the 'Video' setting;

9) The important settings are 'target format' should be NTSC and 'target bitrate' should be 4 or 5 Mbit/s.

10) Now click on 'Burning' settings, should look like below.

11) The important thing check here are 'Burn project to disc'. And really you shouldn't be using rewritable DVDs but if you are 'Automatically erase dis if rewritable'. Type in a custome disc label.

12) Click button 'Use as defaults' so you don't have to do this part again. Then click 'Accept' button

13) You are back on the main screen, click the 'Browse' button and select a directory you want the DVD to be created. IMPORTANT the directory you select here will be erased. Be sure to select a directory with nothing in it or to be safe just create a new one. Some people select the directory that has their videos in it, and then all their videos are erased.

14) Click 'Create DVD' up toward the top in the middle.

15) A dialog box will open telling you to put a blank DVD in your DVD burner and click 'okay'.

16) You can now get a cup of coffee and wait for it to do it's thing and watch the status screen.

17) When it is ready to burn the DVD you should see a window like this, click the button in the lower left corner to start burning.

18) When it is done there should be a DVD ready to play on your big screen TV.

Enjoy your new DVD.

In the future you can just add your titles, and click 'Create DVD'. It should remember all the settings.
